Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on multiservesol.com, what each one is for, and how you can change your choice. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) works in a similar way. We describe both here, because the law treats them the same way.
The short version
- We always store two small settings the site needs: your theme and your cookie choice.
- Our live chat is always available. Our analytics (Google Analytics) and our advertising measurement (Meta Pixel) load only if you choose Accept.
- If you choose Essential only, analytics and advertising measurement do not load.
Strictly necessary
These are always on. They contain no personal information and never leave your browser.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
ms-theme | localStorage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear it |
ms-consent-v2 | localStorage | Remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask again on every page. | Until you clear it |
Live chat
Our live chat runs on MultiDesk, MultiServe's own help desk software, and loads from app.multiresolve.com. It lets you message our team, and it lets our team see that someone is on the site so they can offer help. The chat loads for every visitor and:
- sends the address and title of the page you are viewing, plus the page that referred you, to our chat server about every 30 seconds while the page is open;
- reads a campaign cookie named
md_attr, if one is present, which records ad-campaign tags such asutm_sourceorgclid. This site does not set that cookie itself.
The chat also keeps the following in your browser:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
md_chat_visitor | localStorage | A random visitor ID, so a conversation continues across pages and visits. | Until you clear it |
md_chat_conv:* | localStorage | Which conversation is yours. | Until you clear it |
md_chat_ack:* | localStorage | The last message you have read, for the unread badge. | Until you clear it |
md_chat_max:* | localStorage | Whether you expanded the chat panel. | Until you clear it |
md_chat_link:* | sessionStorage | Keeps you connected to the team member you chose. | Until you close the tab |
You can clear these items at any time in your browser settings. You can also reach us by email, by phone, or through our contact page.
Analytics and advertising measurement (only if you accept)
If you choose Accept, we load two tools that help us understand how people find and use this site, and which posts or ads bring them here:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) counts visits and page views. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_<ID>, which last up to two years, and sends the page you view, your approximate location and technical details to Google. - Meta Pixel (Meta) records visits and when you send us a form, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising. It sets a cookie named
_fbp(and_fbcif you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad), which last up to 90 days, and sends the page you view and the form event to Meta.
We do not send your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into a form to either tool. When you arrive through a link that carries campaign details (such as utm_source), we keep those details in memory only for that visit, so that if you send us a form we can see which post or ad it came from. They are not saved on your device.
If you choose Essential only, neither tool loads and neither sets cookies. You can change your choice at any time (see below).
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting server records standard technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It uses these to keep the site secure and working. This happens without cookies. Our Privacy Policy describes it in more detail.
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time. Use Cookie settings in the site footer, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. If you withdraw consent, we reload the page so analytics and advertising measurement stop.
Changes to this policy
If we start using other cookies or storage, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
